(147704) Gartenberg Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 11 April 2005 by M. W. Buie at Kitt Peak.

Claudine Madras Gartenberg (b. 1975) is an American professor of management at the University of Pennsylvania. As a high-school scientist, she performed light-curve measurements of asteroid (951) Gaspra, deducing its rotation period and shape in advance of the 1991 Galileo spacecraft flyby. Her asteroid work was recognized by a 1992 Westinghouse Prize.Naming citation (WGSBN Bull. 5, #28, 13), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
