(10997) Gahm Main-belt Asteroid
Discovered on 2 September 1978 by C.-I. Lagerkvist at La Silla.
Gösta Gahm (b. 1968) is an astronomer at Stockholm Observatory. For many years he has been the project leader of the “Swedish Solar System”, a model of the Solar System where 1 AU is equal to 7.6 km and the sun and planets are scaled likewise.Naming citation (20030318/MPCPages.arc), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
Where Gahm is today
Seen from above the solar system on 2026-10-14: Gahm is 3.14 au from the Sun and 2.72 au from Earth. Computed from JPL's orbital elements.
