(9260) Edwardolson Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 8 October 1953 by Indiana University at Brooklyn.

Edward C. Olson (b. 1930), emeritus professor at the University of Illinois, has carried out observational programs that have demonstrated how the outer layers of mass-gaining stars are distorted, and how angular momentum from the mass-transfer process can spin stars up close to the stability limit.Naming citation (20040713/MPCPages.arc), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
