(8217) Dominikhasek Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 21 April 1995 by Pravec, P., Sarounova, L. at Ondrejov.

Named in honor of Dominik Hašek (b. 1965), goalkeeper, and the Czech Olympic hockey team, winners of the gold medal at the 1998 Winter Olympic Games in Nagano. Although the success was basically due to teamwork, Hašek's contribution was the most significant.
