(333600) Dietrich Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 7 April 2007 by Mt. Lemmon Survey at Mount Lemmon.

Peter Dietrich (b. 1959) is a Canadian optics specialist. He was responsible for assembly and testing of the OSIRIS-REx Laser Altimeter High Energy Laser Transmitter, a challenging task given the precise tuning required for lasers to survive and operate in the unfriendly environments of spacecraft launch and deep space.Naming citation (WGSBN Bull. 6, #2, 11), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
