(262825) Dianearbus Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 10 January 2007 by Mt. Lemmon Survey at Mount Lemmon.

Diane Arbus (1923–1971) was an American photographer known for her striking black-and-white portraits. She challenged social norms by focusing on groups who are often stigmatized, from circus performers to people with disabilities. By portraying her subjects with dignity, Diane helped to humanize those who live on the fringes of society.Naming citation (WGSBN Bull. 5, #19, 9), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
