(11484) Daudet Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 17 February 1988 by E. W. Elst at La Silla.

Alphonse Daudet (1840-1897), mainly remembered as a French writer of sentimental tales, believed that the world was misrepresented by novelists, who concentrated only on its uglier aspects. His Lettres de mon Moulin (1869) can therefore be considered a more joyful interpretation of the mystery of things and of individuals.Naming citation (20000523/MPCPages.arc), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
