(16826) Daisuke Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 19 November 1997 by N. Sato at Chichibu.

Daisuke Miyajima (1958-2007) was a Japanese aerospace engineer who contributed much to the success of ‘KAGUYA’ as a lead engineer of EMC design, control and verification tests that reduced the EMC noise and provided a quiet environment for mission sensors that needed to hear even a tiny voice from the moon.Naming citation (20101128/MPCPages.arc), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
