Discovered on 5 September 2005 by K. Sarneczky at Piszkesteto.

Tivadar Kosztka Csontváry (1853-1919) was a Hungarian painter who was part of the avant-garde movement of the early twentieth century. His art connects with post-impressionism and expressionism, but he was an autodidact and cannot be classified into one style.Naming citation (MPC batch dated 2014-10-08), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
