(34126) Cornaa Main-belt Asteroid
Discovered on 23 August 2000 by S. Sposetti at Gnosca.
Several cornels (Cornus mas, family Cornaceae) grow around the observatory. They display small yellow flowers in late winter and red berries in summer. Their wood is very hard and their fruits are edible. The local dialect name of this tree is “cornaa”.Naming citation (WGSBN Bull. 3, #5, 12), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
