(20145) Chiachiaolin Main-belt Asteroid
Discovered on 20 September 1996 by Beijing Schmidt CCD Asteroid Program at Xinglong.
Chia-Chiao Lin (1916–2013) was a Chinese-American applied mathematician and physicist. He taught at Caltech, Brown and MIT for over 40 years and made major contributions to hydrodynamic stability, turbulent flow, and astrophysics. In 2001 Lin returned to Tsinghua University and helped found the Zhou Pei-Yuan Center for Applied Mathematics.Naming citation (WGSBN Bull. 6, #12, 7), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
