(481984) Cernunnos Amor

Discovered on 20 May 2009 by M. Ory at Vicques.

A major icon of Celtic polytheism, Cernunnos was the incarnation of fertility, life and the underworld. Druids widely encouraged the adoration of this “horned god”, which became a severe obstacle to the spread of Christianity.Naming citation (MPC batch dated 2018-05-29), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
