Discovered on 20 March 1998 by LINEAR at Socorro.
Cecily Sunday (b. 1989) is a French-American scientist who completed her Ph.D. at ISAE-SUPAERO (Toulouse, France) in 2022. She specializes in spacecraft-surface interactions with a particular focus on granular mechanics in low-gravity and dust entrainment in lander plumes. Her work is particular relevant for small body exploration.Naming citation (WGSBN Bull. 6, #11, 11), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
