(325476) Carlomarchioro Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 10 September 2009 by ESA OGS at ESA OGS.

Carlo Marchioro (1944–2025) was an Italian mathematical physicist who worked on integrable systems, statistical mechanics, fluid dynamics, vortex theory, friction models, and the Vlasov–Poisson equation. Notably, he proved that the 2D Navier–Stokes equation on a torus admits a globally attractive stationary solution for any Reynolds number.Naming citation (WGSBN Bull. 6, #8, 11), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
