(5653) Camarillo Amor

Discovered on 21 November 1992 by Helin, E. F., Lawrence, K. J. at Palomar.

At his private observatory in Camarillo, John Rogers secured follow-up observations of this minor planet. On California's El Camino Real, the town was named by the Southern Pacific Railroad in 1901 in tribute to Adolfo Camarillo (1864-1958), a prominent local rancher. The first discoverer is a former town resident.Naming citation (20010804/MPCPages.arc), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
