(13206) Baer Main-belt Asteroid

Discovered on 6 April 1997 by LINEAR at Socorro.

James J. Baer (b. 1965), a member of the Faculty of Mathematics at South University, is an expert in asteroid orbit determination. His research has focused on the statistical treatment of astrometry and asteroid mass estimation, including that of 16 Psyche, whose mass was revealed through its perturbation on this asteroid.Naming citation (MPC batch dated 2013-10-18), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
