(45846) Avdellidou Main-belt Asteroid
Discovered on 4 September 2000 by LONEOS at Anderson Mesa.
Chrysoula Avdellidou (b. 1987) has contributed significantly to knowledge of hypervelocity impact physics with experimental, theoretical and lunar flash observations. She showed that collisions can implant projectile material on small body surfaces, clarifying previously unexplained observations.Naming citation (WGSBN Bull. 1, #2, 24), IAU / Minor Planet Center, via NASA/JPL
